SEAN LOCKE

Sean Locke

Field Technician

          Sean has over 15 years of agricultural experience, 7 of which have involved work in the environmental services industry. Prior to joining the F&R Ag Services team, Sean supported dairy industry clients in the western United States through his position working for Dairy Records Management Systems. More recently, through his position at F&R Ag Services, Sean has committed his career to providing an array of services that help dairy industry clients meet their regulatory compliance needs. In addition to Sean’s professional experience in agriculture, he also possesses invaluable personal and applied experience in the industry. Not only did Sean grow up working on his family farm as a 3rd generation farmer, but he and his wife also went on to run his own pasture-raised and free-range egg operation. 

          Sean obtained a Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Dairy Science from Cal Poly where he also minored in Ag Business. Sean also possesses his Technical Service Provider (TSP) certification through the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).

Project Experience:

  • Serves over 60 dairies in Stanislaus county, Merced county, and San Joaquin county

  • Compiles and organizes records of crop production, irrigation applications, nutrient applications, and nutrient exports in order to prepare Annual Reports for the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CDQAP)

  • Conducts weekly site inspections and completes associated inspection forms to fulfill regulatory compliance requirements

  • Obtains all required samples to ensure regulatory compliance

  • Prepares and updates Rule 4570 checklists and Conservation Management Practice Plans required by the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District

  • Assembles and submits grant funding applications for the Alternative Manure Management Program (AMMP) to the California Department of Food and Agriculture

  • Prepares Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans (CNMPs) in accordance with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)

  • Obtains Authority to Construct permits through the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District

  • Assists dairy clients in preparing for California Dairy Quality Assurance Program (CDQAP) inspections and certifications
