Helen has more than 10 years of agricultural experience, and has been a valuable member of the F&R team for nearly 5 years. Helen’s connection to agriculture is deeply rooted in her family’s longstanding commitment to the industry, as she is a part of the 4th generation of farmers in her family. Helen believes that working on her family’s dairy has fostered her passion for agriculture and instilled in her a desire to continue her involvement in the industry. Through her position at F&R Ag Services, Helen is able to do exactly that, and further, strives to make a positive impact on the industry by helping fellow dairy producers in the Central Valley maintain regulatory compliance.
Beyond this, Helen has obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Dairy Science and Ag Business from Modesto Junior College, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Agricultural Studies with a concentration in sustainability from California State University Stanislaus. Helen has also served as a member of the Western United Dairymen Association Leadership Team, where she gained further knowledge about current industry issues and engaged in lobbying and advocacy efforts. Adding to her involvement with the agricultural community, Helen has served on the board of Young Farmers and Ranchers of Stanislaus County. Specifically, she has maintained positions as a treasurer and representative of the scholarship committee where she strives to raise awareness about current issues in agriculture and support the community through charity. Additionally, Helen is currently in the process of obtaining her Technical Service Provider (TSP) certification through the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). It is anticipated that she will have this certification by the end of 2019.
